Swans

Looking back through the archives at simpler times.

Galen turned me onto this song and it really captures his complexity and eclecticism for me. My dude LOVED rap but he also liked Joni. The never ending struggle between sour and sweet.

This just sucks. So much more to say but that sums it up. I love you all.

What's past is prologue.

Peter's instagram post is causing me to reminisce for a minute.

Birthday board. Snapped doing a 180 off a picnic table. Wearing some kind of tennis shirt. Featured in Clothes Hanger 1. The early days of my love affair with all this crap.

Help Me Cope

Another photo I shot of Darren being excellent on a skateboard with a switch wallie over the barrier. The photo is accompanied by some more sap via youtube. But there is a time and place for sap.

One Long Day Since A Relevant Santa Rosa Post

Jay Masonek linked this video he edited of old Santa Rosa footage in the comments of my last post. I have been longing for the days when I used to post actual skateboard content, so this could not have come at a better time. Bloggists, Nyquil and I, come through with one ollie-slam each.

In related news, a Bennet Valley resident just bought a VX on Ebay. More video links to come?

Do not go gentle into that good night

Seeing this pop up on a roll that's two years old was like stepping into a time machine. This was the night of the Whine Country premiere. It was a good night to be a skateboarder in Santa Rosa. We miss you Joe(left).

More Roots Rock

Darren found some weird pills (this was at the height of the Hyphy Movement). Weird camera troubles, but this ollie from the corner to fakie is no less impressive.

Post #301; In Which We Take a Moment to Return to Our Roots

Developed this roll yesterday. I knew it was old but didn't know it was this old. Anyone have a guess at the year?
